2.1 Which FT-MIR to use:

Use any FT-MIR spectrometer connected to an **attenuated total reflectance (ATR)** accessory.

2.3 Cleaning
------------------

Clean the diamond ATR with **methanol** before initiating background scans and in between sample scans.

2.4 Contact
------------------

Ensure the flour sample is sufficiently in contact with the diamond ATR before data collection.

2.5 Number of Samples Needed
-----------------------------

Flour from one or two seeds is sufficient to collect the spectral details from one representative sample.
