2. Spectral Data Collection

2.1 Which FT-MIR to use:

Use any FT-MIR spectrometer connected to an attenuated total reflectance (ATR) accessory.

2.2 Parameters

This web application can be used for any of these data collection parameters (either 1 or 2):

2.3 Cleaning

Clean the diamond ATR with methanol before initiating background scans and in between sample scans.

2.4 Contact

Ensure the flour sample is sufficiently in contact with the diamond ATR before data collection.

2.5 Number of Samples Needed

Flour from one or two seeds is sufficient to collect the spectral details from one representative sample.
